So after 24 years, we called Kuhn Plumbing to work up a quote to replace that and straighten out some pipe mess, install a new expansion tank for the furnace, as well as install a new pressure reducing valve. I called Kuhn around 7:30 a.m. the following morning, and Tom was able to visit to inspect and provide a reasonable estimate by 9:00 a.m. After discussing the options, Tom returned later that morning with the replacement water heater and was able to complete the replacement by early afternoon on the Friday before a holiday weekend, which enabled us to keep our plans.
